YCS Committees and Working Groups

Board members are expected to sit on a minimum of one committee and act as a liaison between the board and the committee.

YCS committees fall into three categories:

  1. Standing Committees: ongoing committees that play a key role in the governance of YCS

Personnel
Executive
Finance
Membership/ Fundraising

  1. Working Groups: ongoing committees established to work on YCS issues and programs, for example:

Energy & Climate Change
Forestry
Habitat & Wildlife
Mining
Whitehorse Area Issues

  1. Temporary Committees: committees are formed to respond to short-term needs or specific tasks as determined by the Board, for example:
